Along with working with its partners in wetland preservation and restoration, Friends has established itself as a leader in environmental education and stewardship. Education is a critical component for restoring and maintaining wetlands and other natural areas.  Friends is proud to be able to develop and deliver valuable programs and activities that have an educational focus. Thousands of community volunteers have participated in Friends environmental projects and have taken part in Friends' special events, such as Winter Walks and Purple Loosestrife Pulling Day. This is in addition to over 4,000 people who participate in our programs annually.
